FOX5 is Local. FOX5 is Las Vegas.
KVVU-TV FOX5 has a long and proud history as the Las Vegas local TV station that does it all: live local news, special programming, severe weather coverage, and local sports specials.
Starting early in the morning, FOX5 leads the way in local morning television, producing an award-winning newscast with four full hours of live and local news every weekday morning starting with“FOX5 News This Morning” from 5am-7am. This newscast is packed full of information you need to get your day started, including overnight news, breaking news, traffic and continuous weather updates.
Want to sleep in and still get the news you need - locally? Not a problem. FOX5 is the only Las Vegas station that stays local and offers an additional two hours of local news from 7am to 9am. “FOX5 News: Live in Las Vegas”, anchored by Monica Jackson and Jason Feinberg, formerly seen on E! News, brings you all the local news and weather you need PLUS big surprises. This one of a kind, up-beat newscast is also known for big name celebrities stopping by and giving away free tickets to the hottest events in town. If you want to wake up informed, ready to go, and keep a smile on your face, wake up with FOX5 News.
The mornings don’t stop there on FOX5. Each Weekday Morning from 9am to 10am, FOX5 offers “MORE,” the only locally produced morning talk show that focuses on Las Vegas families, fashion, food and fun with a bit of pop-culture throughout.
The station’s brand is “Local. Las Vegas”. And that’s certainly what KVVU FOX5 viewers can expect every weeknight when they return home to see the newly added: FOX5 News At 5pm and FOX5 News At 5:30pm. Then before you turn in for bed each night, watch the award-winning, FOX5 News At 10pm. FOX5 co-anchors John Huck and Shelley Brunner, along with Chief Meteorologist Darren Peck and sports anchor Kevin Bollinger, give viewers exclusive reports on the biggest stories in Las Vegas of the day at a convenient time: an hour earlier than any other local station.
FOX5: Rich in History, Rich in Tradition
When the legendary Johnny Carson passed away, KVVU FOX5 covered the news with a special perspective and a deep respect: Carson once owned the station and visited often as FOX5 grew from its humble beginnings on Boulder Highway to a state-of-the-art broadcast facility on Sunset Way in Henderson and one of the best performing FOX affiliates in the country.
Not only is FOX5 known for its award winning newscasts, but FOX5 offers some of the most exciting television shows you can find. Watch all of your favorite episodes of That 70’s Show, Friends, and Raymond. Plus, only on FOX5 can you catch the highest rated television shows like American Idol, Prison Break, House and The Simpson’s. And who else but FOX5 can get you get the best in sports with the World Series, NFL, NHL and NASCAR. KVVU FOX5 is the local station that offers it all.
